Bit the bullet in Indy
I've posted a couple of questions recently, but I finally bought a 2004 so I thought I should post as a new member. I appreciate all the information out there and the help that everyone is willing to give. Now if someone will just tell me where the damn spare tire is.

I don't care how many times I hear that queston, it always makes me smile.
Fiero was similar, had a space saver under the bonnet but was no place other than the passenger seat (unless you had the very rare luggage rack) to put the tire you took off.
But the real answer is: in the chase car.

Thanks all, and yes I know there's no spare. It looks like the compressor and sealant have never been used, and I hope it never will be. Planning on putting Bridgestone Potenza Pole Position tires on next week (unless someone convinces me these aren't a good choice) and looking into AAA.
BoilerUp, I'm in the wonderful world of roundabouts, looks like you might be too. I'll be filling out my profile as time goes by. I might throw a few questions your way if that's ok.
And Osofast2... Go Big Blue! I grew up in Versailles.

We actually have Road Side Assistance through our auto insurance, should be quite a bit cheaper than AAA. My son has used it twice in the last year and they were pretty quick getting to him. Welcome to the club, keep an eye on the Midwest Forums for nearby GTG's.
Any questions are more than fine, I have been active with a total of 3 XFs (2 for me and 1 for my parents) for many years and have done much of the service and modifications that are common.
The 960, 970, or S04 which tire you looking at? And what is your plan for the car daily driver, weekend cruiser, etc.
I'm looking at the Bridgestone 970 tires. We won't be driving it much during the week, I work from home and the wife works less than five miles away. I travel about three hours (interstate) a few times a year to visit family and will drive it when the weather is right. No tracks or racing.
Why not bring your new Crossfire to it's first GTG tomorrow just east of downtown Cincinnati at Coney Island Amusement Park's Cruise-A=Polooza.
