Default Second Helping of XF

Hello,

I leased a new 2005 Graphite Limited Roadster (44870) for three years. I turned it in at the end of the lease, thinking I needed a more family friendly transport. It was the only car of the 25 or so that I've owned that I regretted letting go.

FFWD six years later and my other car is eating me alive in maintenance costs (2003 Audi A8L). I start looking for some cheap replacement and low and behold I find another 2005 Limited Roadster (46049) in Sapphire Silver Blue with only 5,000 miles on it. Owner didn't want to part with it really, so the price was 2X retail. I made a reasonable offer and took it home the next day. Both have Dk/Md Slate Gray interior. Feels just like the old one Glad to be back in the fold of XF owners.

Welcome back. Beautiful find. That is probably the lowest mileage Crossfire to change hands recently.

Having owned many Audis I identify with your relief at being out from under the expense of maintaining one.

Nice looking jag in an uncommon color in the background of your photo, also.

Congrats, looks like you bought the Kerry Ford roadster. They have had that car listed since at least last April. My credit union is located about a block from their showroom so last June I decided to stop (ask for a brochure ) and see if they still had the car. They did so I gave it the once over and it was indeed "like new". Talking to the sales woman it belonged to the owner or a friend of the owner or some similar situation if I recall correctly and the asking price was very firm. It is great to see that someone from this area ended up with this beauty and I hope you will be willing and able to join other area owners this coming show and cruise season.

James1549 put together an excellent driving GTG last October and we also had a few cars show up at both the Rising Sun Indiana and Coney Islands Cruiseapoloza shows. I am hoping we can build on that this year with a spring and fall drive and maybe a few Cars and Coffee events. Keep an eye on the Midwest and Northeast group forums for details or PM me if you have any questions.

Glad you were able to re-enter the wonderful XF family and with such a nice ride. Hope you can make it to the Spring Dragon. Cinncy is not that far from it; and many members come through Cinn. on the way there! Again, welcome!
