On the hunt...
Hello all, I'm currently shopping for a SRT 6 Crossfire. I've always loved these vehicles, occasionally seeing them at Great Lakes Dragaway (Union Grove) in all there glory.
I have to say, I've done quite a bit of browsing through this forum, as I'm rather impressed with all the information I've been able to acquire.
This will soon be my first aspirated motor I've ever owned, and plan on modifying. I'm actually really impressed with what little modifications can be done to drastically improve the over all performance.
My previous build was an 06 RT LX platform Charger, completely NA. All 6.1 internals, stage 2 Comp Cam 268 X I Series, 6.1 Intake ported matched TB, LT's, highflow cats, custom exhaust, and custom tuned. Among many other performance upgrades. I purchased this vehicle new in June 2005, one of the first 200 owners.
I'm looking forward to meeting members, and enjoying future conversations within this Crossfire community. I especially look forward to doing my build and sharing my progress, as well as gaining helpful knowledge from members as I proceed.
Keith

Seems I recall an SRT6 in WI for sale. Cars.com maybe?
EDIT yup, in Green Bay but the most expensive one on the planet.

I am sure an artist might prefer brushes and a canvas to a completed work of art but if you want a fully functional, proven modified SRT6 with little more to do but hit the gas and hold on very tight I can help you out.

Yeah, I had a friend who lives near the location verify the price. I'm personally more of a hard top kinda guy though.
I noticed you own a '90 Dakota Convertible, possibly a Shelby?
This one is just a Sport Edition with the V6. I spent a few years in the hunt and while only buying this one, located about 500 across the country. Fun truck.
Still a cool "rare" truck to find, congrats on that! I've only seen a couple I can recall, both of them in pretty poor condition too. Surely a collectors though.
Good luck with your quest. If you are patient you will likely find what you want.
I just checked out your pics with the SRT, very impressive! I'm pretty much witn the same intentions regarding performance mods. Mind me asking why you're departing with it? I understand the hobby of enjoying a new ride now and then too.

Thanks. The reasons for bringing my SRT6 to market have nothing to do with the car. My world as I knew it went through a bit of a tsunami just after purchase. What would better suit my new reality is something slow with four wheel drive that I can just leave out in the elements without worrying too much. Convertibles only, though.
Crossfires are great cars in general. I am not a modifier cars typically but the modifications on mine perform flawlessly and I would recommend same.
Also, if you are not in need of a convertible the hard top will offer increased practicality and simplicity. The more closely the details of the hardtop's styling are looked at the more they reward the eye. This is especially so when compared to all the (Hyundai influenced ?) mishmash styled cars with lines going off in each which way without tie in.
The Crossfire is a work of art.

Oh no, say it ain't so. It that is the case, it is the perfect example of art done for art's sake contrasted with art done for money. Hyundai styling reminds me of the frenetic later work of Van Gogh. Not something from a peaceful mind.
No offense intended. It was intended as more as a positive comment on the Crossfire styling than a negative on the Hyundai. I don't like the new Jaguar styling either.
Picking up my SRT6 friday. Found one on eBay a couple weeks ago, literally watched the bid to last seconds ticked away, and won. Seems to be in really good shape, both owners kept all documentations. It will be coming home in a enclosed trailer, spring maybe almost here, but the roads scream winter salt! I'll post pics when I get it home.
And it only took me about a year to get use to the Genesis' "drooping" rear side glass.
As they say,"Beauty is in the eyes of the beholder". If we all liked the same thing, we'd all be driving DMC's.
Congrats on the EBAY acquisition Power Sedan, I bought my Crossfire brand new off EBAY about 10 years ago.
