Recently purchased a 2005 Crossfire Ltd. w/ 29,000 miles..... car is in mint condition.... the only problem that has cropped up is the ignition.
Every so often when you turn the key....everything light up, but the engine will not turnover.
Once you try it again it starts right up.... had my mechanic resolder the contacts but still happens occasionally.
Any advise?

I assume you mean the RCM soldered connections?
Oddly you have to be specific on "will not turnover" it means different things to different people. I assume the starter did not rotate the crankshaft others might think the engine spun but did not continue after the starter disengaged.

Welcome to the forum. Run a diagnostic test to know if there is any error codes and from there try to trace the problem.

Do you have a good independent Mercedes Benz mechanic in the Plymouth area?

I have a mechanic that I trust .... he's actually the one who recommended me buying a Crossfire in the first place. Right after I purchased the car I had him go over it.... told me the module needed to be resoldered and he sent it out to be done.
Just not sure what type of diagnostic needs to be run.
Not knowing anything about cars could you be more specific in what I need to tell him to do.

Has he hooked up a OBD2 scanner reader to see if any fault codes show up?

When turn the key.... engine light light up as well as all the other lights that normally come on for an instant .... but the engine does not turn over. No sound of an engine trying to start ..... just nothing.
As soon as I try to start it again it has started up immediately every time.
