I'm a new bee also
My name is Jim, I'm looking at buying a 2006 limited convertible, via carmax. Vehicle in route from Arizona to Maryland. It wasn't until recently that I heard that there a potential problems with the rear window of the convertible. Does this happen to all rag tops?
Is it correctable at a reasonable price? Was really looking forward to cursing with the top down, now somewhat concerned.

Yes they all do it. You can repair the top glass yourself. Plenty of threads here. There is also a company where you can send a couple of your parts to them and they make a new top with original materials with the glass sewn into a pocket with a lifetime warranty on the glass fitment. Several here have went that route. I hear it's not to hard to replace the top but have not had to do that myself.
Jim,
We have an active group of Crossfire drivers here in Maryland with a group called "Crossfire Club of Maryland".
If you are interested, let me know and I will get you more information.

Be careful when "cursing with the top down", in some areas that might get you a ticket! I was known to curse quite a bit in traffic when I had my Crossfire.
Just messin' with you of course. Get a Crossfire, enjoy life, and most of all..... enjoy this group here on the forum. You won't find a more supportive, helpful, friendly group of people ANYWHERE on the internet.
