Default New crossfire owner

Hey everyone, I'm Chris. I'm a waste water operator in Indiana. Just bought an '06 limited crossfire in December. Love the car to pieces but I'm already discovering how expensive parts are. That was to be expected though. Anyways you can see it in my album if you're interested. You can find me zipping around the NW Indiana region! I'd love to see some crossfires with some cool mods if anyone would like to point me in the right direction or feel free to post them on this thread!!

Welcome Chris !
From your other post I have surmised that you are the proud owner of a red NA coupe - right ?
Not a lot of mods for NA's, more for SRT6's.
here's a short list :
1. CAI ( Cold Air Intake )
2. oil catch can
3. HID kit for headlight/foglights
4. various LED bulbs
5. aftermarket radio head unit
6. wheels, but seems you already have some pretty nice ones .....
7. adjustable camber links

Welcome to the forum Chris. There are enough "mods" out there to empty my wallet, that's for sure. As you said, things for the Crossfire can be costly. But look on the bright side, you're essentially driving a Mercedes, and not a Camaro. Hope you enjoy the heck out of it.

fireamx, yesterday someone vandalized my left headlight, they just busted the lens out. Do you know anywhere that has used crossfire parts?

I have got parts from eBay and called local salvage yards to see if they had a XFire.
For replacement suspension parts sometimes if I can not find what I looking for at local auto shop I look up parts for a 04 slk320 and usually find the quality of parts I want and a better price.

Several parts cars on ebay.
Type in crossfire in ebay, narrow to car and truck parts and accessories then refine search to used and comes up 576 and searched through there and look for crossfire that that has picture that has a wrecked one, and message the seller if the front headlight is still available and give him a offer.

The SRT, limited and base are all cross compatible for most parts right?

Yes, but the SRT's have bigger brakes. They can be switched over, but of course as a complete set. When swapping differentials from an SRT to a Limited or Base, your car's computer needs to be updated. 2004 axles are different from all the rest. Newer models have a smaller dash board glove box. (To facilitate an extra air bag, I think).
