Default Solenoid signal re ck engine


got a 2004 crossfire started after sitting 7 years, only 6000 miles on it. check engine light indicates a transmission solenoid is the cause. My buddy thinks driving it will resolve the problem. Any feed back?

Me, I would change all the fluids on a car that has set for seven years accumulating moisture.

yes have done that, except for transmission oil, that's the next step although whether needed is questionable as sealed unit and only 6k on California car..
