Crossfire performance
Hi, looking to buy my first Crossfire. Local guy has one at what seems to be a good price ($4300), 2004, 50K miles, clean, red, auto. But, in trying it out I was rather underwhelmed at the performance off the line. Felt a lot like my recently tuned 2007 Honda Pilot. I expected it to give me more of a head snap. So, I am asking you experienced folks what unmodified Crossfire acceleration should feel like.
Any pics?
And welsome to forum.
Yea, the W is so you don't lose traction in the snow, makes it start out in second gear and also changes the other shift RPM's.
From the owner's manual :
From the owner's manual :
For Winter/Wet (snow and ice) mode, press the “W”
symbol on the switch. The vehicle starts out in SECOND
gear, unless FIRST gear has been selected, or the accelerator
pedal is in the kickdown position. The “W” mode
helps to improve traction and driving stability of the
vehicle. The gear shifting process occurs at lower vehicle
and engine speeds than in the “S” program mode.
CAUTION!
Never change the program mode when the selector
lever is out of the PARK position. It could result in a
change of driving characteristics for which you may
not be prepared.

I'm a new member from Ogden utah. Love my 05 ceasefire. The state slogan "the greatest snow on earth" take it from me winter mode summer mode. For winter driving park it, get a truck. It won't go in the snow. Drive this car on the squirliest road you can find. (In the summer time)
