Default where to get a crossfire worked on in Aurora or Denver?

I have an issue with a 2006 Crossfire I just bought two weeks ago. Larry H Miller says I need to take it to Mercedes to get it worked on. Any other recommendations? Thank you.

Try calling FCA customer care # to find a dealer in the Denver metro area that still has a Xfire trained tech. Failing that, a good German car indie shop may be able to help. What issues are you experiencing? Someone on this forum may have the answer.

Thank you. What is FCA. I am so bummed I just got this car with 51k miles on it two weeks ago. When I try to start the car, the dash lights and radio come one but it will not start. I took the battery out and it checked out good. Had it towed to Larry H Miller and they said they cannot work on it. So this is my first Chrysler and absolutely love the look and the way this car drives. Hoping to find someone other than Mercedes Benz to look at it. I appreciate the response being new to this group.

When someone says indie shop , they are saying take it to an independent shop that works on M/Bs an other European cars. This little bastard of a car is not supported by Chrysler an even though you can by parts for it thur M/B , they won't work on it either. Some have found dealers that will work on them , but at great expense because they replace parts till they get it right. Look up "mystery no start" here on the forum. That my be the solution , your looking for. Let us know ,what your doing so we can try an help. Just so you know,, you can buy parts at M/B an it will, on average be 60% cheaper than Chrysler. As a matter of fact that's where they get them anyway!

Thank you. I will look up mystery no start. In the meantime I am checking for an indie shop that specializes in MB to see if they can look at it. Really unfortunate to have this happen and to hear some of the troubles getting someone to work on this vehicle. These are great cars but I had no idea when I bought it how hard it would be to get serviced or even a second key made. Appreciate it.

Try this for a shop http://www.benzshops.com/
When calling around, advise the shop that the Xfire is the same as a MB SLK320

Rob has new keys and other parts much cheaper than a dealer NeedsWings Performance Products

It is most likely the relay control module, a relatively easy fix if you are mechanical at all. There is a member of this forum that repairs them for a very fair price or you could buy one.

I would be glad to pay them to get this repaired.

It;s also a good idea, whenever getting repairs on this car, to find the walkthrough for the repair on these forums. Then, print that walkthrough and bring it to your mechanic. They may be afraid to work on something new or weird like our car, but with a walkthrough of exactly what you want done, there is no worries.

FCA stands for Fiat Chrysler America. And you may have better luck looking for an independent shop that specializes in German cars. These guys work on all the German marques (VW, Audi, M/B, BMW). Chances are they will already know the Crossfire is a M/B R170 chassis vehicle.

The dealer is telling me it is the Skiim module. With parts and labor it is $1000.00
