Default Newbie and question

Happy Holidays All

I have found a Crossfire Limited Roadster that I am to pick up tomorrow. Lots of looking, lots not so great. Black was certainly not my first choice in color, however, one owner..53K miles and in very nice shape. It is an 05.

The interior is cream and black, which this owner said was very rare for this year and color of car...It does look very sharp and I do like it much better than the standard black/grey interior I have seen in all other black cars.

So, is he full of baloney??

Welcome to the forum. This is going to be the first place you turn to, to find out "why did it do that!" If you search the forums archives, you can find ,how many were produced that year, but I don't think the color variations are in there. I may be mistaken. If you don't have an owner's manual, you can download one from the documentation collection. Enjoy the (s)miles....

It is a 12 year old car, expect some issues------but, the pleasure of driving a Crossfire outweighs any normal service issues that crop up.
Since you are in Florida, be sure to check for flood damage. Ask the seller where he had it serviced, and use your "gut" feelings to make your decision.
If you take the plunge, utilize this forum for all its worth (priceless) to get advice and suggestions on any problems that may occur.
Also, join the Chrysler Crossfire Owners International Facebook group. You won't find a more friendly and helpful group of car "nuts" anywhere. There are also sub-groups you might consider joining also.

You will love this car..... If you do regular maintenance, its just like any other vehicle. Oil changes, air filters ,brakes, and if your not a DIY'er, find a independent Mercedes or German automotive shop an they will tell you ,"it a Mercedes ,with a Chrysler sticker on it."... Don't let someone ,scare you out of one of the most fun cars there is. It's a fun community, with great GTG's and almost everyone you meet ,is always willing to talk "Crossfire's". Check out FB, I'm sure there's a group close to you or within ,a top down ,sunny day, driving distance...

Thanks for the encouragement. I am a DIY'er...just always have had old classic cars.....not newer "classics". I'm gonna take the plunge and will post a picture when I pickup tomorrow,

Appreciate the kind words. I know where this came from, and there was zero flooding there. I've looked at a TON and this one is really very nice. One small tear just starting on drivers seat, passenger never sat in. 53K on it for 6k...I don't think I can go wrong at that! Ummmm...remind me I said that 6 months from now!

We won't have to remind you. One day coming up , you'll spit shine it. Then as you accelerate on to the interstate, a stupid grin will come across your face. You'll think to yourself,"Man, I love this car." We all do!

You'll be surprised at how many on this forum own more than one Crossfire. That alone speaks volumes about lack of regret in purchasing. You'll understand after a few miles (or less) in your new baby. So congrats and enjoy!!

For that price, even it if needs an RCM, sticky key fix and new top - you are still doing fine.

I have not seen many black Crossfires with the black and vanilla interior. Only one that I recall.
