Default Tension pulley

I have replaced the alternator and I am going to replace the belt and tension pulley. My tension pulley has a hydraulic arm attached. I am having a crazy time finding anything about this hydraulic arm. I would like to test this arm, does anybody have experience with this arm?

That tensioner shock absorber is unique to manual transmission Crossfires. It prevents the belt from slacking due to hard shifts.
Here's my post from when I replaced mine. It has detailed pictures and descriptions of how to replace everything: LINK - Belt tensioner idler pulley and belt shock
Also, if you go to the first page of that thread you will find a bunch of links to repairs I have done on my 2006 roadster with manual transmission.
