As far as HP and other things that some of you are concerned about with Fuel injection, the higher ALT vs lower - the higher will give you better fuel MPG and I found that in a turbo / S/C vehicle I had more HP. at higher, More air less fuel (better MPG). with many Vehicles having anti knock systems you don't have to advance your timing to get more HP. Have had Turbo's, S/C and regular fuel injection vehicles in H/A cities and states and never had a problem. Now if you had a 1971 VW Super beetle with regular Distributor your screwed, been there, done that and was not a happy camper!!!!!

Black hawk is fine but you have lots of crazy drivers going to the Casino's at night and One way in and One way out (you may sit in traffic) getting in and out.

In Grand Junction to the west you have Arches NP and at least 2-3 options to get there, 1) hwy 128 Very good two lane twisty roads 2) long way hwy 141 and the hwy 191 is a 4 lane hwy. to the east is Grand Mesa N. Forest hwy 65 east of G.J is a great twisty road to be on.

I hope this helps a little .........
Surely you jest...done with all the construction in the Springs? All I know is the last time I was there, having been gone only about a year, it had changed quite a bit.

If we do a two base camp as itsky is suggesting, I would say vote for the Springs area to be the second.

We have NO ROAD CONSTRUCTION in the Springs. Every other turn is a a chicane or a sweeper. We all draft from light to light, and every intersection is synchronized with the next to run flat out. There are no speed limits and premium is only $1.50 a gallon!

I'm sure people don't anticipate lights changing anymore either or Academy Blvd and Galley is no longer on one of the most dangerous intersections list anymore....

Do you think Dragon Man (if still around) will give us a tour and let us shoot his M60 if Cheyenne Mountain won't do a tour?

He's still around. I remember seeing something on the news a couple weeks ago. A 20 year old soldier had the misfortune of getting hit by lightning at Dragon Man's outdoor Paintball Park.

It does appear that we can host the event in Western Colorado (should be plenty of ski towns that can hold us all) which will keep us away from the "big city" attractions and provide a lot twisty roads and beautiful scenery and no interstate highways .

Good to know about the dates for Carlisle. If you can swing later July, you can have the best of both! We were looking at August as well, but school will start up early in August not allowing some of our members to attend (and my kids start school in early August as well).

Look for an official announcement on the date here soon as we pick the venue and places to stay.

Both in the same month ......to much on the plate for that.
It's just a conflict for me though so continue on with the planning.
I'll just have to make a choice.

Ya .... I had that decision this year with CAA and Carlisle ...... pretty close together ..... So, I went to both, and not doing Woodward or the Dragon this year. Next year, I plan to do Colorado CAA and either Woodward or the Dragon, and just skip Carlisle. I can't do it all, and be in 2 places at once. There's just a lot to chose from ....Thankfully ......
