hey,

Im in brisbane, australia. I just registered here to get some more info.

I was looking at buying a SRT6 Convertible, or the coupe, I'm a big fan. I've had alot different cars so far ranging from 70's fords, Holden, toyota soarer gt, toyota camry sportivo (i know).

Im not one to follow the pack. I do alot of my own maintenance etc. Im just after a brief rundown of known problems/issues with crossfires in general, and the some specific to the convertible and srt6

some of the things id like to know is:

any roof problems?
any engine issues (big)
and general reliability.

and any over things i should know about.

just important stuff.

I've looked around on the net for this info and all i can find was stupid complaints or arrogant opinions. overexaggerated, uneducated and to be honest very ignorant statements. some people hey

You may want to click on the attached link that will bring you to Crossfire owners in Australia. There are several owners of Crossfire SRT6 models as well.
As to your questions,
1.) The roadster roofs have experienced back window issues with poor adhesive used by the factory in Germany, this is a selective repair issue paid by Chrysler.
2.) No major engine issues, but three issues with the SRT6 motors are, Crankshaft Position Sensor (CPS), RCM issues with soldering imperfections that create a no start issue.
3.) The general reliability is good, considering the mechanicals are Mercedes Benz (80% of the parts).
I hope this helps in making your decision.....

ok thanks very much for the help.

Ive seen a few for sale on various cars sales websites here, but unfortunately they are 2000kms away in another state.

one thing that im a bit confused with is, the years. there is a few srt6's here advertised as 2008 models. and plated 2008 aswell.

I thought they stopped making the srt6 in end of 2006
