Default Service in Austin, TX

Hi,
I just inherited my dad's 2004 Crossfire. The engine light just came on last night. Does anyone know of a place I can take the car where I won't get ripped off. I haven't found a trusted mechanic in the last 5 years I've been in Austin. I'm an older woman who was overcharged every time I took my old Toyota for repairs. Help, please!

You can have the code scanned for free ay most auto parts shops. For repairs, your best bet is a Independant Mercedese repair shop. NO DEALERS

Use this website to look for a reputable Mercedes-Benz independent service shop in Austin. CLICK

Be sure to call the shop & let them know you have a Crossfire. If they really know Mercedes-Benz cars, they will know that the Crossfire is nothing more than a M-B R170 chassis & drivetrain (1999-2004 SLK Series) with a Chrysler-designed body.

Any positive/negative response to our efforts to help you
with your Crossfire issues?
Kind of wondering....

Thank you for all your responses! It turns out my brother had the check-engine light looked at, before I picked up the car. It seems the issue is electrical, in the dash, not an engine problem. I haven't been able to get it looked at as I'm dealing with my old car.

I'm sure I'll be back when I start working on the fix.

Thanks again,
Linda

My brother had the car scanned for codes and was told nothing was wrong, that it was a dashboard issue. There are definitely problems with the dashboard lights....

I do need to register the car in Texas so I need to get the problem solved, it's just on the back burner while I get my old car ready to hand off.
