I posted this information last year regarding the Endless Summer Car Show in Ocean City. I'm planning on attending again this year. It's a lot of fun with literally hundreds and hundreds of cars. well what's going on dave and sieg? this is marc and leyla and we are all in for going to ocean city. i have been waiting for someone to post a new trip lets go guys.

 

Hey Marc & Leyla! As I told you on Saturday, Sieg and I are already entered for the show in OC. We have yet to make our reservations for a place to stay, though. Looks like because of my work schedule, we won't be able to get down there until very late on Thursday, probably after midnight. Every other year we've gone, we've gotten down there on Wednesday evening. But we'll still be able to be a part of the boardwalk parade on Friday and Saturday.

Hope you guys can make it as well as a few other Crossfire brethren!

 

I'm in downloading the form as I type... I'll probly get down there around lunch time on thursday.
Hope fully we can get some more of are MD and DE Crossfire's to cruize down the boardwalk. Sieglet can you scan in your boardwalk pics?

 

I'm thinking of heading down from Long Island...

 

As the saying goes, the more the merrier! I'd love to see a fleet of Crossfires at the show! I'll see about getting some of our OC pics from previous years scanned in.

 

That might just have to be worked into my plans and I want to hit OC again before it gets cold and that's perfect. Thanks for the idea.

Hey, count me in. Is there going to be a place where we can all meet? Are you doing the Boardwalk parades?

 

Unfortunately because of my work schedule that weekend, we won't be able to make it there until very late Friday night. But we'll definitely be doing the parade on Saturday morning. If you're there for the parades on Thursday and Friday, I highly recommend doing them. It's really cool to drive down the entire boardwalk to the inlet parking lot. A couple of photographers take pictures of every car that is in the parade, and for a reasonable fee, you can get an 8 x 10 copy of it.

The parades on Thursday and Friday are open to anyone that is registered in the show. Saturday's parade works a little differently. They only allow a limited number of cars for the parade that day. You have to drive to the inlet parking lot VERY early Saturday morning (usually around 6:00 am or so) and pick up a ticket if you want to participate.

As far as a meeting place goes, we could meet at the Convention Center before the parades. Or just about anywhere else, for that matter. This will be the fifth year in a row that we've gone to this show. I'm bummed out that we won't be there every day this year, but I'm sure we'll have a great time nonetheless!

 

Guys, I'd definitely like to do this, but I'm only in for one day. Got things to do. Is there some consensus as to which day most of us would be there. Sieglet, you're good for late friday, so I assume you're hanging out for Saturday, true?

O4, Patpur, 22blk, Redcross, acrispy1 - are you all down for Saturday?

Who else can we get to come? I'm still hoping we can get Ichon (baltimore) and some of the Northern VA guys to join us.

Perhaps if we shoot out some PM's to the regional folks we may be able to beat the high water mark of 16, set at this year's Mopar Nationals!

Need to figure out some meeting place and any activities. Sieg, since you've been before can you suggest anything on this? I think Pat is counting on going to his favorite seafood place for dinner, "Phillips" - I'll have to join him.

 

When we've gone with the PT Cruiser owners, we've cruised down to Assateague. Phillips is always a staple while in OC. Cruising Ocean Blvd. is fun, too. I would suggest meeting at the Conference Center before any cruises/activities. It's around 40th St., I think. I'm sure we can think of some other things to do as well.

 

I will know tomorrow if we can make it on sat. and sun. So who has registered so far? I noticed that we can not mail the application form in after sept. 15.

 

I tried yesterday to find a hotel room for Saturday night and everything in OC is booked, even tried to book more than one night, same thing. If I go it'll be for the day on Saturday. My guess is you have to book way early, like beginning of the summer to get a decent hotel room.

That means we will not be attending, it’s too far for me to drive down to for 1 day we were planning on staying over night and leave early on Sunday.
Maybe we will plan earlier next year.

 

Tony, if you really want to come, you could also look at hotel rooms in Rehobeth Delaware, it's up the road a bit, but honestly not all that far. I usually vacation in Rehobeth and often run down to OC. So, all I'm saying is that there are options if you really want to come. FYI, I think Rehobeth is nicer than OC anyway.

Dave, thanks for the info, just mailed in my application and made reservation in Rehoboth Delaware the hotel is about 23 miles from Ocean City, not bad at all.
We are driving down friday night and leave sunday, so who else is definitely going?

 

I am confirmed. My plan is to arrive Friday late afternoon and stay until Sunday afternoon. Haven't found an other DE Xfires yet, but will do some research. My son and I would really like to do the Boardwalk parade Saturday morning, I heard you need to be at the Inlet parking lot around 6:00 AM!! Is that right?

My sister-in-law has a 2 bedroom condo on 64th street that is available for that weekend. If interested, PM me for details. She also has a contact in OC that could book other condos for the weekend. Again PM me for information.
