Virginia Crossfires will be cruising the Blue Ridge Parkway the week end of July 25-26-27. (Final day to be determined in about a week.)

On the day of the cruise we will meet at Shoney's Restaurant in Waynesboro and drive up to Rock Fish Gap where we will hop on to the Blue Ridge Parkway. We will drive south to Peaks of Otter, and then head down via Natural Bridge to Roanoke. We will all head home from Roanoke.

We need to put together a list of who is attending, so if you plan on making it to the cruise, sign up now.

Hey Scott (this is going to get confusing) please feel free to make changes if I screwed up. I made this drive over 10 years ago, it is beautyful, I trust we will stop often enough to enjoy some of nature too as well as our cars on that road!

I see this quite a bit and I'm always confused by this.

 

You are not the only one who is confused! My guess is that MD, VA, WVA, and NC should probably be listed as Mid-Atlantic Region -- this would probably go a long way toward helping to focus activities in this area.

That said, Are you coming on the cruise?

 

I guess the admins on this board need to make a Mid-Atlantic sub-forum, and place all of the DC, MD, VA & WV posts in there (hint hint!)

 

Needs to be faily early, but not too early If I make it a day trip, we are talking of over 400 miles, so we can wake up early and meet at the Shoney' for breakfast and start from there. It will take me 2-1/2 to 3 hours to get to the shoneys, say we meet there at 10:00 AM sound OK? Will Have to be Sat or Sun as we both work that Fri.

If we make it an over nighter, then thats another scenario, would prefer Sat-Sun, in that case and ould depend on where on the proposed route that we stay over. We have camping gear, but you have to ge reservations in early to camp on the blue ridge.

 

I'll have to wait till we get a little closer to the date... I know the 27th won't be good but the 25th and 26th may be a good bet.

 

If you decide on the 27th let me know. I just learned I've have a class I have to attend till 3 on the 26th

 

Would perfer either a Sat or Sun, can not commit to a 2 day deal. Friday is out - WORK gets in the way. Keep it rolling!

 

The only way I can include Friday is if we went out there after work. I tentively booked a room in Roanoake for Sat Night, but I can cancel that at any time. So I am hoping for Saturday.

I am not sure if I will make it, I would have to drive 3 hours up to go drive for 2 hours with you guys then 3 hours back home lol.

 

We booked a room in Roanoke for Sat. Night It will be over 9 hours total driving time for us too.

 

I met a guy with a white (alabaster I guess) coupe in Fredericksburg. He was definately into this cruise when I mentioned it to him, he said that he would join the forum, I certainly hope he does

 

This is next weekend, have we decided on Saturday? Are going to get more than 3 XFi's there? Inquiring minds want to know.
