Default NE Ohio Bridges

Peggy and I checked out the progress on our newest Covered Bridge yesterday, A beautiful day for it. And then we had the pleasure of a chance meeting with Mike and Barb at Geneva-on the-Lake in the afternoon. Here are a few pictures of what will be the longest covered bridge in the nation.

We were thinking a Covered Bridge tour might be make a nice get-together, would anyone be interested?

Head down my way. I can show you 3 of them within a half mile of each other.

Post the spots on google maps so the rest of us can find them. When is that new bridge going to open? That looks really cool, I didn't think that they made those things any more.

Thanks, not sure if I can make that ceremony, probably a 6-7 hour drive from here, but I go by there and so I will mark it on my GPS

Don't tell Rick & Peggy, but we have their car "bugged' and we can track their every move with a good "GPS".

All kidding aside it was so cool running into them. It was a beautiful day, a nice place to walk around and enjoy the lake views, and "people watch". Peggy even suggested another great restaurant.
I'm all for the North East Ohio Covered Bridge Tour, or the N.E.O.C.B.T. for short.

I'm still waiting for the folks in Newton Falls to rebuild their covered bridge. It has (had) a unique design with a covered sidewalk on the outside of the bridge. When I was growing up, the bridge was in decent enough shape that it was open to public traffic. Fast forward to a couple of years ago when I decided to drop by and check out the town and the bridge. The thing is in pieces. I suppose that it's worth adding to the NEOCBT if you happen to be in the vicinity of Newton Falls, but I wouldn't drive too far out of my way to see it.

Let me know when the NEOCBT happens and I'm sure I can talk Sue into a road trip.
