please keep me posted about Pittsburgh meeting I'm 2 hours east of Pittsburgh

 

I am not familiar with the area, but Tom said there is a parking deck about 2 blocks from the place, maybe we can hijack the upper deck of it, We can meet there and head to the restaurant on foot.

 

Hope to see you there, as of right now the plan is to park in the parking deck by the Haufbrauhaus at about noon.
I'll post anymore details as i get them..

 

If anyone needs directions, shoot me a PM. I used to live in Pittsburgh and I've been to the Hoffbrauhaus several times.

For those that prefer to GPS it, the parking garage is on the corner of Sidney St and S 28th St, Pittsburgh, PA. The office next to the garage is 2874 Sydney St. The restaurant is two blocks north of the garage.

Notice that there is a parking garage across the street on both sides of this one. You want the one indicated, as the other two are not public garages. The public one is called the Hot Metal Parking Garage (because of its proximity to the Hot Metal Bridge two blocks away). The entrance is on Sydney St.

 

Hey Tom, how about Barb and I, (and Rick and Peggy) meet up with you in Sharon and caravan down to Pitt together?

 

I live about 20mins south of Rick and was planning on going (just sent him a PM) I would be interested in following you guys down if you all head down at once. Let me know at time and place if you decide to meet.

I can pick up Nathan coming thru Kinsman and we can meet up at the Hermitage exit off rt 80 at about 9:45 and Tom volunteered to lead us in from there, as long as he lets us keep up and we agree to stop early for gas

I'm looking forward to it...

Hopefully we can get a few more to join in, should be a good time

 

There's a Quality Inn right there at the Hermitage exit where Rt. 18 goes under I-80. Let's meet in their parking lot.

As you get off I-80 follow the signs for Hermitage, PA. If you're not familiar with the exit, I-80 actually dumps you on Rt-60 (now called I-376) for about 1/2 mile before splitting into Rt 18 N (Hermitage), Rt. 18 S (West Middlesex) and Broadway Ave (Sharon/Farrell). Take Rt. 18 North, and the hotel is a couple hundred yards from the off ramp.

That's a thought. Even if I'm sloppy and spill some of the barbecue sauce on my seats.......it'll match.
