Saw a Silver Ltd at the corner of Rt 355 and Rt 32 Rockville, Maryland (Rockville Pike and 32 for those who know) with female driver. Only my second XF sighting (no...dealer lot counting not allowed) on the road, no kidding.

Tsk, tsk, I know its still winter, but that little XF was D.I.R.T.Y. and it didn't look good! Regardless it was finally nice to see one in use.

 

Out of curiosity where does Rt 32 and Rt 355 intersect?

Good catch...I goofed...I was heading up 32 this afternoon (back to Baltimore and had it on my mind)...doh! What I meant to say was 28 and 355 , right at the bottom of the town of Rockville.

Hi Dave - I've seen that same car down by Target in Rockville behind Guitar Center and you are right its filthy! I can't figure out why they buy a nice car and then trash it like that. I had mine in for the fan this week and the only one I saw at Courtesy was a red coupe that looked like it was up in the used lot. By the way if you ever see mine its always clean.

Yeah, the funniest part about that sighting was that it was FAR dirty than all the rest of us...like it had never been cleaned. I'm so used to see everyone's fine looking vehicles here...it was shocking to see that car like that. To each his own.

The Red one at Courtesy was the one I was referring to in our previous posting...it looks a tad tired.

 

Dave - I didn't get a chance to look closely at that red one, it was the only one I saw sitting on their lot. It looked like the one I almost made a deal on up at Fitzgerald when I first started looking. Only problem was we were about $10,000 off! Just an FYI for you. Courtesy did my fan recall and an oil service. The car was spotless when I got it back. The only foo pah...they forgot to reset my wrench (service indicator) There is a fix for this on the TSB page, very easy. I reset it myself. So Courtesy looks ok for service. I've also used DAR Chrysler (Fairfax Chrysler) when I had my PT's and they are also very good. Let me know how your quest is going.

Ah, another XF sighting on 295 in NJ (yesterday) heading north toward Trenton. Graphite SRT w/NYPD sticker in right side window...that was me in the Red Dakota with the big thumbs up!

 

Heya Chas, sorry for responding to this old post, but I didn't have my XF when you posted. Actually, I still don't, I'm supposed to go and fetch it (NJ) on Saturday, well that's the current plan at the moment. Anyway, once I do have it in my possession, we should definitely hook up. Patpur just told me that there's a cruisin' night up in Olney on the weekends. I'm definitely going to with Pat asap...i'll let you know and maybe we can hook up.

Sine I bought my XF in July, I've only seen 2 in my area, in fact in Illinois. Today at one intersection there were three of us. A coupe and two roadsters. What are the chances?

 

In the last 5 months or so I have seen 3. Two on the road (base coupes) and one in a parking lot in NJ where I work. Big company, I don't know who owns it and have not seen it since.

 

In the past couple months I've seen a few more crossfires in the area (or it could be I've just noticed them more since I have one myself now).

In MD, I've seen a grey limited coupe in the Penn Station parking lot, a grey limited coupe on 175 toward 95, a black limited coupe on 395 toward 95, and a grey limited roadster in the Mercy parking lot.

In DC, I've seen a black limited coupe parked near 18th st, and an aero blue limited coupe on 16th st.

I'm actually traveling for work this week and just saw a white limited coupe parked at the King of Prussia mall.

Any of you on the forum?
