Yes, but that's the newer generation SLK (the report specifically states "2007 models unless otherwise noted"), which is significantly different than the Crossfire. Our technology is the previous generation, which had eight years to work out the bugs before it was put in our cars.

You can't trust these rankings, ever, especially from Consumer Reports. These particular rankings are PROJECTED, and how are they to know about reliability, especially on new models. They are guessing. The Ford and Mercury on the top of the list? Please. Mini Coopers? Everybody I know that has one has it in the shop at least once a month. Even their little quip about the hybrids being reliable. How come there was a recall about them dying on the highway then? Besides, most of the hybrid models have not been on the road long enough to have a reliability record. Some of the trends might be accurate, Toyota and Honda quality has slipped, and GM and Ford have gotten better, but that makes everything just about equal, which it really kind of is. You have to see WHAT has broken as well. Was it a total engine failure or a wheel falling off, or was it a bug in the electrics? Was it a burned out light bulb? All very different, but not something a "Ford" person would report to a dealer (they'd change it themselves), but a BMW or Mercedes person would.
