Sounds like he's eliminated almost all the back pressure. He's going to need an ECU tune to be able to compensate for that without damaging the engine.

how is the two step for launching ? is he building boost when it is active ? sounds like a turbo car with a rather open exhaust system ... not going to find many fans of this kind of thing here. big thumbs up on the two step.

i have a thermal R&D on our srt-4 ... probably the quietest exhaust made for them but really do enjoy the sound it makes.

nah ... its a turbo car, it does not need backpressure ... on a NA or supercharged car the only reason to not have a open downpipe like that is to keep the valves from cooling too quickly and cracking in time. on a turbo car you can run a open down pipe just a few inches long off the turbo and have no issues ...
this will actually extend the life of his engine with no further tuning as SRT-4s see high EGTs with any restriction on the exhaust which have been known to melt the cowl and begin to damage the valves ... with a open exhaust like this it should see a good drop in EGTs.

added: also having stepped primaries and a proper collector on a NA car can lead to impressive power gains through exhaust gas scavenging if you utilize a more aggressive cam with a good amount of overlap...

its amazing for launching, he told me it makes it so easy, your turbo is spooled up and ready to go when you are. Right now I think he is pushin 21 or 22 psi. its a freakin rocket when the tires catch. Its loud like that because of the dump valve.

I could tell there aren't to many fans lol.

but thanks for the only positive comment! lol.

it should be running 12s by the way.

What DP is it? I ran a 3" catless Needswing V5 with the e-plate...

What other mods does it have to be in the "12's"?
