I would not be able to afford that either way... I was more disappointed when they canceled firepower because that was also one good looking decently priced concept... but yea the ME-412 is a beauty...

The chances for this car being built have increased eleventybillion percent since the buyout. Daimler snuffed out the program, because they could not le Chrysler show up the superior Mercedes badge. Wolfie was a BIG proponent of this car, and He's Baaack...

well that's good. i don't know much about cerberus or whatever it's called. it would just be nice for the crossfire to have a "big brother" car, sort of like how the slk has the slr mclaren, or like the mustang gt500 has the ford gt. the firepower looked nice; it just had a stupid-a** name. they could have called it the shadow or the wraith or something more intimidating than.
[beavis voice] "FIRE POWER."

True enough, but 11 billion x 0 = 0. so it just won't happen. Have you seen the Chrysler lineup lately? Where does this fit in? OK, so you go see this car in race trim on sunday (American LeMans Series perhaps) then what? Stroll in and get a 300? I'd say there would be a bit of a chasm in performance styling etc. What is there in between - nothing! If they had a Firepower, or 2nd Gen XF...now maybe ME fans might have something to look at that they could afford and associate with that monster car.

They have a serious issue with the cars they are offering right now, other than the 300, there's little left in their lineup to compel someone to come inside. A $200K+ car isn't going to fix that. The current lineup is pedestrian at best. Regardless of what is powering this wonderful looking car, it won't ever be mass produced, nor will it be produced at all - and that's a real shame.
