Will this happen again? Didn't we have one available in the early 60's?

Oh yes. The Amphicar. When I was a kid, you could buy these for pennies on the dollar - now I see them on Barrett-Jackson bringing big money.

Yes there was a car like this in 1964 or so. I got a ride into the water at the New York World's Fair in 1964-65.

One of the biggest car clubs for the amphicar is located in the fox valley area.

One comes down from wisconsin for the drag races at blarney island on thursdays.

Funny as hell watching them!
