248 day supply of new Crossfires in Chrysler inventory
Second only to the Hummer H1!
Lots and Lots on Lots of Lots
Lots and Lots on Lots of Lots
[NOTE: a 60-day supply is generally considered ideal. Anything above 90-days indicates serious bloat.]
And the crown for lot queen goes to… the Hummer H1, with a 381-day supply. OK, that doesn't really count, but I couldn't resist calling a Hummer a queen. So pass the crown to the Chrysler Crossfire. Even though Bob Nardelli's mob finally whacked the Mercedes SLK-based [two-seater], there are still 1100 units waiting for new homes. At the current rate, Chrysler dealers have a 248-day supply. If that isn't bad enough, there's actually a 2008 model on its way.

1100 units over 248 days = 137 projected unit sales per month.
Interesting insight....what was the source? Not that the info sounds incorrect. Does this give us an insight into the 2007 production numbers?

Does anyone have any idea how many 2008's are going to be on the way? Considering the 2007's have only just showed up in the past month or two (and there are still brand new 2006's that have yet to be sold) I don't imagine we'll see any for about a year, unless of course the crossfire suddenly becomes a hot item, yeah right. Anyway, I just find it hard to believe that there are that many 2008's coming. I had thought production had already ended.
LOL why won't losers buy this beautiful underated car? Yesterday on Route 8 I handed a an older M3 his ***. got up to about 150 going until the break at exit 10 and he could not gain on me, he stayed about 6 car lengths back. Pulled off and went to Goodburger and he followed me. We talked a bit and he was pretty nice, He popped his hood and it was totally stock or looked stock at least. Pretty clean car for a 99 M3. What was the horsepower rating on these M3s?
Anyway, he said when he saw my wing go up he had to race me. LOL

With virtually new examples selling for $20,000 off sticker, Karmann being paid to slow production, no marketing support and dismally low sales of a to-be-cancelled model, why would you have doubts about its credibility.
I love my Crossfire as well, but I'm rational about the reality of the situation.
(And as for TTAC, they use an pay-for-data industry service to get the numbers on which it based the article. I have faith that it is reporting true and accurate numbers.)

display_name,
In your original post, your quote was never attributed to a source. So, its no wonder that it is raising some questions.
Now you mention TTAC. Is TTAC the source of your quote? If so, who or what is TTAC?

That's the biggest reason I installed a 'Power Off" switch, to keep the wing down until I want it up.
Back on subject:
Actually I'm glad there is still a big supply of unsold Crossfires to choose from. That way I don't have to run right out and try and locate another one before they're all gone.

^^^No BS my man, I was never to impressed with that version of the M3 as in my Porsche S2 which is a 3.0 litre 4 banger with 210hp I raced a guy at my job with a then new 99 M3 and he could not lose me in the Porsche. So they are highly overated IMO as the Crossfire ate his farking lunch.
Once I get the supercharger in the Porsche though I'll be looking at 325hp at the Wheels or more depending on the pulley. [drool]

As for a huge reduction in HUMMERS, I have no idea. Something that has me wondering is that I'm trying to locate a new '07 right now for a guy on the forum out of Tennessee. I just talked to my New Car Manager and he told me that we can't order one and I would have to do a dealer locate. So my question is: "Where is the supply if I have to dealer trade for one?"
This is in from Chrysler:
Pt Cruiser Convertible, Crossfire, Magnum, and Pacifica are 100% done. Magnum is still in production for now, my guess is that it will be cut off when the line is re-tooled for the Challenger.
Durango, Aspen, Commander, Patriot, Sebring Sedan, are next on the list. All Sebrings will be Avengers, All Pacificas will be Dodge Journeys, Patriot will be a Caliber,
As for the Big SUV's, they haven't said anything, however there is a new hybred Durango and Aspen on the way???
