Pontiac Solstice Coupe kinda looks like our Crossfires
Pontiac has just released pictures of its new Solstice coupe and I can't help but see alot of resemblance to our crossfires. I wish ours came with a removable roof panel!! Here is some pictures and an article for you to enjoy.

Damn good looking car but you need the GXP to make it worthwhile. And they take BANK.
And I found the roadster Solstice to be very cramped even compared to our Crossfires. A hardtop can't make that much better.

Interior Trim Quality in those cars is a big thumbs down.
Worse than a 350z. Exterior styling is good though. Sort of a poor man's BMW Z4 coupe.

In profile I see more Lotus Elise than Chrysler Crossfire in the shape. Seriously though, how much can you do with a coupe this small? Good looking car, a good way to get rid of the constant wrinkling in the convertible top, but I agree with others about how cramped this thing is going to feel.
Nice to see they're still using the rear relector lenses from the Tahoe.

That is one mighty good looking Poncho !
We'll see how the GTP versions do in B/stock SCCA competition. I bet they will soon be the car to beat ! I plan on keeping an eye on 'em for the next few years. If they do well I'll probably pick-up a low mileage used one in 4-5 years; let somebody else take the depreciation hit !
Cheers,
Slim

I wonder if the Saturn Sky has any plans to do the same. Maybe something on the order of the Corvette "Mako Shark II.

the roof looks exactly like the crossfire. and only 260hp from the turbo version, nah, I'll stick with the m112 v6 thankyou.
heck you autocross guy can low boost the m112 to about 280hp-300hp for a 2-3 grand. while used crossy sells for $14-$15k

....and who would've thought that our "trunk" would be larger? The Solstice does catch the eye but I still prefer our babies.

If you are a performance nut the GXP Solstice & Sky are great platforms. Now if you want to argue stock performance... then you really aren't a performance nut. So buy whichever one comes in a cooler color.

I could go on, but if you just take care of your stuff it will last a long time.

...and then along came the 70's, 80's, and 90's. American cars weren't too good in those decades.
Even through that period I only bought American made cars. Thank God that the American manufacturers are waking up to the competitive, quality driven market they are in.
