'A' for effort, all the initial Hemis will be sold at premium, but once the novelty wears off, this will tank, I think.
I wanted to like it. Just doesn't work.

Was at a car show in Boise, ID on 4th of July weekend and they unveiled a Challenger from one of the local dealerships.
Here are the photos of the Challenger they had. Looks good, but to me it doesn't seem worth the money.

Wish the carbon fiber on the hood wasn't a decal, the tail lights were like the rendering, the gas cap wasn't so gaudy, and the calipers matched the color of the car minus black of coarse. Oh well, all and all beautiful car does the old one justice, but Chrysler and Dodge always seem to have great ideas and come up short with them. I think more people will be blown away with how nice the Camaro looks and how close it is to the concept, that this poor challenger will flop just like the crossfire. Chrysler will do what it does best, clean house, and you will be picking up SRT design challengers for $25,000. Regardless both will get the ole heart racing when you see them in traffic.

I saw an SRT 8 Challenger in the Indiana Auto/RV magazine this week, the ad was at a dealership and said $50,000 taking offers. When the new Shelby 500 GT came out I was watching the price on them and they were going for $15,000 to $20,000 over sticker.
I visited a local mega Chrysler/Dodge/Jeep store in the Philly suburbs that had 12 new Challengers, pulled up in my SRT6 for a look and the salesperson ran over to me. I had a long discussion with him and found out they only sold one so far. The sticker has a $2100 gas guzzler tax + 13/18 EPA gas estimate. Looks like their timing was off a bit for Dodge with the current gas prices. Its just a rebodied 2 door Charger. The sales person really liked the SRT6.....

I went to the dealer today to pick up my steering lock assy for the Limited and saw there were 4 Challengers in the lot (2 Orange, best color, 1 black, &1 silver) This car looks awesome and "only" 41,995 as opposed to the eBays 60+K
