I don't even know what that is or what I'd use it for, but I want one, too.

 

find me one that needs a wing I will probably like it. those cars don't have them to look pretty, I hate spoilers unless they are necesarry. Science experiments such as the mclaren f1 and clk gtr are beautiful to me, they represent progress. If you saw one on the road, you'd crash your car looking at it, just like I would.

 

 

I was searching Google Images for some more pics when I came across this. I've never seen this car before and I thought I'd get your feedback. I think it"s pretty sweet!

 

Chrysler Phaeton ... a concept car from about 10 years ago ... I think it's got a real 30s ear luxury car image ... something a head of state would be seen riding in as part of a parade ...

 

I like everything on the Phaeton except for the front clip... It just needs to not look like a cow catcher on the front of a train... IMO.

 

I am more partial to the rear end as well. My first thought was that it needed a chrome bumper.

 

As long as I'm getting slightly off track by posting a concept car, here is one of my favorite modern ones.





FYI It has two 4cyl. blocks mated together to make it a straight 8 !!

 

I really wish Chrysler would have included the "raised spine" thru the center of the rear window. Like the Concept car.
Sure it would have given you a distorted image everytime you looked thru the rearview mirror, but I would have lived with it, just for the unique look.

 

I love it ... if this were a production design car, I'd love to have one ...

 

I agree. I also wish they had kept the spine through the front windshield. But I don't think that NHSA would allow either one.

Guys I had this exact car, and I gave it to my dad!!

 

I THINK it was 1997. I actually have a very high quality 1/18 die cast model of this car, but it does not have a year on it.

 

It was never actually "introduced", it was just a concept car. "Introduction" would indicate production.

This car was heavily influenced by both the Talbot Lago I posted on the first page of this thread and the Bugatti Atlantic.

 

Well I meant introduced as a concept car.

 

 

Saw this beauty at the Wings 'n Wheels show this past fall (WI). Not sure what it is, but talk about great art deco lines!
