Very nice indeed, Looks great from all angles.
It is intended to be a remake of the 300SL Gullwing, but note that it is classified as a mid-engine design. The big block is actually located some distance behind the front axle. Beautiful car, but the ***-end looks a whole lot like a Honda, IMO.
Take a look at this in Road & Track 2011 SLS-AMG Gull Wing.

On the car was a "For Sale" sign, so I asked him the price. he said he would take $6000 for it. Now a newer used car was going for about $3000, so that price seemed high, but not unreasonable at the time.
If I had a crystal ball I would have bought that car in a heart beat....but who could have predicted what it would be worth in 40 years? Wonder what a Crossfire will be worth in 40 years

Actually there's a red one for sale at MB's historic restoration center in Irvine. May have been the same one they had for sale in Germany last year. But it has ugly plaid seats.
Also saw the special aluminum paint option. $12k but if I hit the lottery or win a lawsuit ... SLS AMG w/Brabus V12 biturbo FTW, Peter...

Many moons ago, there was a local Dodge/MB dealership in the small Vermont town I grew up in. The owner of the dealership used to drive around in a gull wing. He sold it to a friends dad for what i believe to be around 5 grand, if memory serves me right. I've lost touch with all concerned and have often wondered what happened to that car. As a kid, I thought it was the coolest looking car I had ever seen, a time when most my age were into muscle cars. That red SL is stunning. I would not dare to drive it let alone park it on a busy street.
