1999 Mercedes E320 - Same engine as Crossifre?
OK, I'm looking at buying a 1999 Mercedes E320 4Matic.
Is the E320 engine the same as the Crossfire engine?
Will the TVT250 kit work on it?
What other Crossfire mods will work on it?
Inquiring minds want to know!

I believe Mercedes uses an inline 6 cylinder engine in the E-class as opposed to the V-6 in our Crossfire. At least this is the case with my father's E-class- it is a bit older, though. My two cents
The '99 E320's came with the same M112 motor that is in the N/A Crossfire. The Electronics are different though and it uses an ME2.0 vs an ME2.6 ECU. This may mean that a tune could be hard to come by but the rest of the stuff should work provided it physically fits.
BTW, you have a PM.

Thanks fellas. That makes the car more attractive in my book. There's only two things I dislike about the car: it's gold and it's an automatic. Hmmm... but for $10k with 48k on the odometer, that's not bad.
I believe the TVT and Eurocharge guys worked from the Benz format over to ours, not the other way around. That said, I see no reason why they couldn't accomodate you Tom.
Why are you lookin at a Benz. For that money you could get another Xfire
roadster with a stick

I've really been struggling with the idea of buying another Crossfire, but I need a winter car. So I'm looking at front wheel drive and all wheel drive vehicles. Since the Merc is AWD, that fits nicely. I'm also looking at Jeep Wranglers with hard tops too.
