I think I could give this car a home, if they put a "Gas" engine in it.

In fact, it was Auto Union that carried the original 4 ring badge, indicating the union of Audi, Wanderer, DKW and Horsch to form Auto Union. After the war the brand was splintered, with some factories ending up in Soviet occupied East Germany and others in West Germany. Many years later, and through various acquisitions and changes, Audi is what survives. But the heritage remains and the current Audi grille is a reflection of those great cars of the past.
