Other car (not xf) what product to clean upholstery?
Hey friends (you too PizzaFace) just picked up a Dodge truck and the rear seats and carpeting need DEEP cleaning. Last owner had kids, cokes, dirt and who knows what else are the stains I'm fighting.
Your suggestion please!
Thanks!

Truck color you ask? BLUE!

Oh I get it. Mr BLACK Crossfire trying to get one over on the OTB (other than BLACK) guy! VERY FUNNY! Next you'll be telling me that the BLACK liquid in my ink pen will do wonders on the dirt! Well I wasn't born yesterday mister! (well next to you it may seem that way!)

ok, but, upholstery is sometimes pretty thin...but, a steam cleaner works wonders if you want to rent a small one...everything else will leave you with a nice smell....

Blue Magic Carpet Stain and Spot Lifter. Works really well with no side effects. Just follow the directions. You know-RTFM!
Tighed I've had great luck with a product called "Lifter 1". It took a 25 year old grease stain out of the beige carpet in one of my other cars. I swear by it. Ace hardware sells it, K Mart does too.
DJ, if they are bad enough, the only way to actually remove them, and not push them into the seat even further would be to use a carpet extractor. Use a cleaning solution and the steam from the extractor, let it sit, and then lift all the stains right out.
You can usually rent a true extractor pretty cheap for home stuff like couches....

There is an iPad app for how to remove stains from carpets from Shaw Industries called the Stain Center.
The app lists all kinds of stains and how to get them out.
If you don't have an iPad or iPhone then call 1 800 441.7429 and ask for help cleaning or to www.carpet-rug.org and look for the page on carpet cleaning.

Tried two of the suggested items with some success. What a PITA!
Think I'm gonna remove the seats take them apart and wash the covers to see what will come out. The carpet had something spilled on it also so that will come out and get steam cleaned.
Then I think seat covers will be in order.
