Default Chrysler Concept Cars

Many of you may have already seen this (from a link on the UK site) but have a look at some of the Chrysler and Dodge concept cars throughout the years.

Chrysler, Dodge, and Jeep concept cars

Such a bloody shame that the Crossfire's big brother never went into production: the Firepower.

Enjoy.

This is how I would have liked to see the back end of the Cross, a bit lengthened and flatter. This was one gorgeous design, and they made a real mistake not going there, but then again i suspect they saw the handwriting on the wall re; the economics of everything.

having said that, if I had any bodyshop and sheet metal skills, or customizing ability, I would start trying to make integrative body panels out of fiberglass that would reshape my cross, just for real fun, that dropped this look.

I love everything about that car. The hood is awesome. Those wheels would look nice on the XFire also.

I completely agree. The Firepower concept was beautiful, but what really got me excited about this car was the Viper chassis and suspension with a 6.1L Hemi. The new 5.7L and 6.1L Hemi's are fantastic motors, and I really enjoy my Magnum R/T with the 5.7L. I have yet to drive a SRT-6 crossfire to compare it to good old American muscle, but I would think the Firepower would be a "more fun" car (more fun meaning easier to remove license from wallet).

Another car I wish was made was the Dodge Razor. A RWD 2 seater with the 2.4L turbo from the SRT-4.....all for under 20 grand!

Everytime I see the FirePower Concept, it reminds me of this.
1966 American Motors AMX - Concepts
Mostly its just the color and the rear 1/4 panel design I guess.
But that windshield (with its "spine" belongs on our Crossfires)

The last I had heard about the Firepower was that Chrysler couldn't figure out a way to mass produce the vehicle efficiently. Oh logistics. It was considered for production for quite a while. Hopefully Fiat/Chrysler can start getting some cool concepts like this onto the auto show floor and get them into production.

Truly a beautiful vehicle. An Aston Martin for John Everyman.

Also, I see your Razor and raise you a Slingshot.

Yes, the engine would have been slow as hell but I like the design.
