Finally here? Many I've already seen three different 500s running around close to where I live. Looks too much like a SMART car for me to ever purchase it...oh, and I have no desire to turn in my man card right now.

I'm with Nick on this er, or at least Daniela is. We saw an creme/alabaster one at Woodward in '09 and I couldn't get Daniela away from it. There's a white one with a black stripe down the side in town but that combo doesn't seem right.

I love the ones with the Italian stripe down the side. Granted most people around here will think it's for Mexico...

I saw a Fiat 500c yesterday in Simpsonville while running around town. Driver had the top all the way down. Car was sort of a gunmetal gray and had the BBS-like upgraded wheels. Car was sitting opposite me at a traffic light. Really a sharp looking commuter car. Nearest dealer is several hours away.

If I ever lose the '93 SSGT, I'll get the Fiat.

In 1967 I acquired a 1958 Fiat Bianchina. 500 cc air cooled twin. It died of terminal rust. Fun car on the interstate. gary

Gary, I can't believe you ever owned a car that corroded away like that. Usually you are on top of things like that with your magic formula...

I bought a 1976 Fiat X1/9 new. It was one of the worst cars I've ever owned. I traded in my Triumph Spitfire that I loved. My wife really likes the 500C. Maybe in a couple of years, we will be in the market to replace her car. We'll look at the reliability of them and see....I'm not optimistic, but anything can happen....

If gas went to $10 a gallon, it is doubtful I would ever own anything so small. I value my life and family a bit more than that.

We've had them up here for a couple months. Were they delayed getting to the US ?

Ditto on that. Fiat management appears to be far more proactive with Chrysler than Mercedes ever was. Now we have a contemporary V-6 and a trans to match in the pike. Next year, Chrysler should be hitting its stride and I am definitely looking forward to stateside Alfas again. The Fiat umbrella has a lot to offer if they can bring their platforms over with minimal (ie; Fed benchmarks) changes.
