Wonder what the red coolant is? Much has changed in Fiat since my 1958 Bianchina 500. gary

A review is in order once I get the chance to drive it a bit more as it's moms new commuter car (her last one was a 2007 honda accord with 115,000 that will sit around as a back up car). I will tell you the sport mode definitely crisps it up a bit, the brakes are strong, surprisingly quiet, comfortable and the sound system is great.

I see a lot of PT Cruiser in the dash, but I like it! I definitely wouldn't mind having one as a daily.

Congrats!

It's just not for me, though. I can't get past the look of the front end.

To each his own! Enjoy.

If my original owner 1993 SSGT (134k & still gets 33-36 mpg) ever bites the dust, the new Fiat 500 is my choice for a replacement. And yes, my SSGT is also a blast to drive!!

Then

Note the insulation wrap around the battery. Not much engine bay room in these little cars. Glad to see they insulated the battery. Battery life can be extended considerably by sheltering it from engine bay heat. I used to get 6-7 years from a battery in my turbo XR4Ti's with the battery insulated. Without it, 4 years tops!!

By the way, GREAT looking car!!!

Man that's really clean!! And I've never seen one driving around... I've already seen a dozen or so 500's already.
I'm liking the 500 more and more. I just got done with a 14hr detail/clear bra install/photo shoot and it looks fantastic and feels great to drive... very taught yet nimble.

I'm trying Pat! And one day I'll make it there.
I'll try for this Sunday.

I was finally able to go out and take some photos with my lady...

In comparison the Honda Accord this replaced weighed in at 3,300+ lbs.

It's at 6,000 miles now and zero problems (other than the dealer... what's new as Chrysler's in charge of service). Steering is just awesome... crisp, responsive, just feels right. It takes a bit to get up to speed but once there cruises just fine. Rides real smooth and pretty stable for such a short wheel base.
All and all a real nice and solid commuter car.

A nice change of pace from the Mini regiments but best wait for the Abarth model to be useful on the Interstates.

Congratulations! A great little car. I had a Fiat X1/9 back in 1977. Mid - engined, cornered great, lotsa fun. My wife wants the 500 with the roll back roof. Again, what a fun little car - enjoy!
