mini cooper 'coupe' (pre-release car) at my local dealer...
the car was kinda neat in person... (chop top look if you will)...
this is a sneak peak car that goes from dealer to dealer for promo prior to release (only there for a day).

Don't need it. My Mini seats four, can do 140 mph. All badges factory on this MC40 Special edition. Not my peel and stick.

Reminds me of a teenager with his hat on backwards.
And the reviews have been very soft, in regards to sportiness.

Not impressed.
Also not surprised that MAG got a promo car. If I lived closer, I would be there all the time, cool place. We picked up my friends lotus elise there several years ago (Ordered and paid for in 2003, I think he got something like #53 into the states)....

Like the car but don't like the roof. It looks like they were rapping up work for the day and someone said " hell the boss said it has to be done today".
I want to like it because I like the idea of a Mini coupe but the whole thing looks like a complete afterthought to the other models and it looks terrible.
I thought these were out already. I haven't followed Mini since I left BMW NA back in 2004...........but I saw this while at Rolls Royce training in New Jersey about a month ago and thought it was interestingly ugly. It's the John Cooper Works edition

Eeeeyuck! They've ruined the functionality along with the traditional Mini profile. Unless there is significantly improved performance, I don't see this coupe doing much in the way of sales.
