Chrysler Turbine Car
I thought they had all been crushed. Glad to see there is at least one still around. They really were awesome cars, waaaay too advanced for their day. Thanks for posting these photos up!
I actually got to see them start and drive this car at a Mopar event at the Topeka dragway. I was completely amazed to see this flawless car in the first place. But too see it start up and drive away!!! I was stricken with awe.
I think there were 3 Chrysler Turbine cars that didn't get crushed. Besides Chrysler, I think Jay Leno has one, and a Pizza tycoon had one .
It's one of my all time favorite cars, and I actually had a chance to ride in one when they first came out in the early 60's.
Many think its design resembled the early 60's Thunderbird, and that may be since one of its chief designers originally worked for Ford, and was responsible for a lot of the Thunderbird's unique styling cues.
I wish the Crossfire had been offered in its color.

My 68 Dart's original color is very close to the color of this car, maybe a little more coppery if memory serves me. When I get around to starting that project I will repaint it back in that color as I love how it looks. I agree AMX, a crossfire would probably look very classy in that color. Too bad they never chose to offer a color like this for it.
