I sold my "Viper" Why??
On July 5th. I sold my beloved 96 Dodge, that I've owned for 13 years.
It's a numbers matching, all options, rare color combo, 1 st. production year car.
It was even immortalized in a "Car Art" poster painting by famous artist David Snyder, titled " Brice Road".
Now I'm getting the feeling that I made a mistake.........NOT!!

So in a fitting memorial, I thought I would post some EBAY Photos here, so the world knows I once owned one of the Fastest, and most beautiful production Mopars ever built.
Good by dearest Snake, I'll never forget.

Glad you're happy with the sale. Boy I wish I had bought one back then. To late for me now let alone how far out of reach they are.for an old cogger like me.
That is one car i would love to own while I feel i'm still young enough to enjoy and drive. I was looking at used ones on E-Bay yesterday and was sharing some of the pics with Boni (my Wife) who was not at all thrilled. I turn 50 next year. If I can just get my two boys out of my wallet........Yours is/was very nice!!!!
Sadly no cup holder.
Thanks FP, I know when all you guys saw it parked in my garage a few years ago, it wasn't so impressive looking. (Since I don't believe in car covers).
It's remarkable how just a little ride down to Mississippi on the top of a car hauler at 70+ mph can blow 8 years of dust off.

Thanks for the offer Ron, but I've never had a desire to sell my AMX. Ever since I was 19 when I bought it brand new, it just seems like it's a part of me. (even when I stored it for nearly 8 years) it was always there in my garage where I could lay my eyes on it. I'd feel like an organ donor if I ever let it go.
I'm guessing a couple other "original owners" here on the forum,( Acrispy1, and Lorne just to name a few) know exactly what I'm talkin about.
If the Crossfire had never come along, the AMX probably never would have been parked in the first place. But as I've said so many times before on this forum, the Crossfire just "feels" so much like an updated version of an AMX to me that I never really missed driving it. Well maybe a little bit.
After getting my AMX hood scoop installed 5 years ago, everytime I slip behind the wheel of my XF, I get to see the very same image as I would when driving an AMX, so it's like the best of both worlds.

How did ya go about selling her ??
Listing on the internet ?
I'm sure you washed it before it was purchased didn't ya ?
I had the pleasure of driving one just like it for a week back in June 2004
I was a member of the Exotic Car Share Membership Usage Program
I put 1600 miles on it in just 7 days.
The car is still shown on the website and still in use today by the members.

I asked him to sell it for me, because he has a 100% track record on Ebay (check out his EBAY history) because I felt that was a good selling point, (since I haven't had any EBAY transactions in years).
He's also going to do the same for my AMX (except sell it).
I remember when you test drove the Viper. I thought it was a 97 model. The only way you can tell them apart is the stripe goes "under" the rear license plate on the 96, but doesn't on the 97.
I love those cars. I got drive a friends, looked just like that one. He still has his stored...has very low miles on it, but he won't part with it, nor drive it. He had to clean his shorts when we took it out....can't beat a snake...

I hear you on the 50th pressie side of things - only difference is I've set my heart on a Challenger , will only be used as I couldn't afford the new but there are quite a few out there which would be pretty much spot on spec-wise
Back on topic though - that Viper does look great

Very nice Viper, by the way. There was a supercharged one for sale near me a couple of months ago. I wanted it, but I would have had to sell all of my other cars to get it.
Mike, I thought you were going to call me before you sold it?
In a few years, I will be getting one of that body style, always LOVED them.

Hmmmmmm. This wording seems awfully familiar; I do believe they were usurped. Perhaps I should have attained a copyright on my thread...

I thought your Cuda looked great as well.
By the way, there are Vipers out there to be had for probably less than you sold your Cuda for. They will be a roadster, but they are out there. Trust me, they don't need to be supercharged either.
Just change the gear ratio, and any pre-96 should be in the 11's.
