I was watching the new ZZ Top "I gotsta get paid" video and I was really wondering what cars some of his hot rods started out as. I'm pretty sure one of them is a 1933 Ford 3-window coupe. But I don't know what the others are. I'm especially interested in the pick-up. I really want to build one of those.

Tom, are you talking about a "Rat Rod"? Or do you actually want something that has real paint on it?

At least the pickup has a Ford engine. At least one of the cars has a SBC, which annoys the crap out of me.

'Bare Nekid' Bare Metal 34

It's gone through some "paint jobs" and wheel changes.

 

Billy's car is a 34 Ford Hiboy, as well as one of the girls.
The truck is indeed Jimmy Shines 34 ford pickup. It's painted now.
The other coupe is a 30 five window Ford coupe.

Here is my 34 Ford 3 window coupe. Sorry, but it has the venerable small block Chevy engine in it. Though I think Billy would aprove...

Off topic but this song really illustrates how BAD modern digital recording sounds compared to the old analogs 25 years ago. Awful, flat, soulless sound. It's Zztop, you know they are playing well. Yuk!
