Toy for my collection. I always liked these trucks, and it was a deal I could not pass up. It's a numbers matching original color 1954 F-100

Damn FP You just bought my favorite truck. Well actually the 1956 model is, but I wouldn't turn down a 53/54/ or 55 either.
My Nephew was restoring a real nice dark blue 53 like yours for himself, when he had to put it into storage in a friends storage building after getting a job out of state .
Well some how the truck just wound up missing, and the guy never returns any of my Nephew's phone calls.
I sure do hope I get an invite to the FP Museum the next time I'm in Chi Town.

If you're going to buy a "classic", that sure looks like one you can't go wrong with. Nicely done.

beautiful, if I ever had of North, could I at least sleep in it, LOL..if you have to reduce the amount of vehicles that you have,I will trade you for that "T" bird, I could give it to my wife for her, birthday, Christmas, Valentine's Day, and anything else I can think of.. or I could just have the truck for myself, just let me know when you when you're garage is so small you have to leave cars outside jim

LOL, not too worried about garage space. My in-laws have a nice 2 car brick garage, and they don't have a car. I use it, and they would'nt consider charging me. On top of that, my good friend has a large garage where he does restoration work, and I can store cars there too.

I decided to polish my truck today. The paint is in very good shape for a 25+ year paint job, but looked a bit hazy. I first clay bar'd the whole truck, then I used a compound with my PC orbital polisher, followed by a polish, and a wax. I compounded, polished and waxed only the cab. I'm beat. I'll do the bed next Saturday. I have to say the paint responded very well, and looks awesome.
