Why Is Everyone Freaking Out About This 2016 Mazda MX-5 Miata Render?

 

Glad to see some personality characteristics emerging... ( just my opinion)...like this "look"...Carl

 

When are they gonna give it some meat and put a rotary in it?!

 

Pfft, they're saying that for the "supposed" RX-7 resurrection. Word is this'll be turbocharged, though mazda still claims it'll use a 2.0 skyactiv engine.

We'll know in 5 hours!

 

I'm still waiting on the Datsun 510 concept... code named Nissan IDx

 

So ugly, yet so intriguing. Apparently you can swap out the fenders to fit wider tires for track days, and a bunch of other stuff is unique to this car.

 

If it looks like the photo above, it'll be the sharpest Miata so far, and the first that doesn't look like it was designed by committee. I know they're a blast to drive and all, but I'd rather have an MR2 or Crossfire's polarizing looks over something so bland. The earlier models just look like they're trying too hard to be inoffensive...

 

I've always classed the Miata to be a chicks...... look at me, let's go shopping type of car.

 

I wonder what MrAeroBlueGirl has to say about that.

I was thinking jewellery, shoes and lingerie. Not Sams club or Costco.

Now I'm just wondering what a Miata trunkful of jewelry is worth...

 

I think I like it, won't know for sure until I see them in person in different colors and trim levels.
