What the Dodge Charger SHOULD have looked like...
Here are pic's of the REAL Charger that Chrysler should've built. The retro styling cues, and the overall look of the car said "Muscle Car"!!

The current Charger is a heavy 'carry-over' of the current Dodge Magnum.

The current reviews of enthusiast's are rather poor. It's being said that first impressions are pointing to styling reminiscent "of an old person's car". Not what the muscle car world, or Chrysler needs!
The SRT trim package does 'spritz-up' the car a bit, but it still doesn't say "Muscle Car"!
The only thing that's going to save this vehicles sales figures is the 4-door family convenience and the engine horse power.
The only thing I think could be improved on the '99 concept is make it a 2 door, chuck that 4 door muscle car idea!!

I agree with you, MI. The current Charger looks like the box the concept car came in. I saw one on the road the other day, and didn't realize what it was (very generic from the rear) until I stopped behind it and read the name. The design is too conservative and not what I expected from DC.
The concept car in that first link is definitely more gorgeous - I wish they had gone more retro like Ford did with the Mustang as well.
But hey, a little customization goes a long way! http://www.dubedition.com/charger/charger.html
