2006 subaru sti... i think it will grow on ya!

 

not a fan, looks like the new b9 suv which is one of the ugliest ones on the market.

 

I think, despite the current negative views, the design will look better as we see it more often. After all, the new grill is a far departure from the current model. Personally, I really like the lower portion of the front. Looks clean and tasteful with that lip on it.

 

its supposed to look like the B9. that's subaru's new 'corporate' nose. all their cars are supposed to be getting the same treatment.

i personally don't like subies so much. just not for me at all.

 

I think it looks to much like an alfa. I hope they don't start bimmerizing their line too.

Out of the dozens of people i have shown this to, they have all laughed, women and men alike. I guess you cannot be stuck up or snooty, to find it funny. If i put big bird dancing will that make you happy?

 

i love the new nose, it looks much better.

 

hideous, round headlights were the best of the last three. but they are all uglier than the last gen of coupes, gb8 or whatever.

 

I think it's awesome. I had an '03 WRX (the bug eye'd) and loved it too. Still miss that car, especially during that awful record-breaking rainy season we had this year in CA.

 

It's better than the old design. Nice thing about the car is if your dryer is broke you can just hang your cloths out to dry on the rear wing.

 

Apart from real good performance I never liked Subaru's. For me it looks like they spent everything into the engines and nothing in style. This one is a little better but still a Subaru with no innovation. Looks a little like a Seat *lol*. My sisters boyfriend has a STI. Great engine (won't do a race against) but awful look IMO...

 

...Only if you're lucky enough to own the WRX STI versus just a WRX.

Nothing done to the outside, but this was my WRX that I sold last year...the last one is the plate i put on when I moved back and registered the car in AZ.

Man...looking at those pics makes me miss her!

Well yes, in some ways it definitely does...but then in at least some ways, I miss all of my cars!

This design doesn't have to grow on me, it already has my approval. I drove a STi in Australia and fell in love with it. I think it was a '99 or something. It just dominated on the winding roads.

 

Moparalleycat, you should have gotten some Jun Eyelids, makes the car look badass. For the WRX that is. I was going to get them on my 02, but traded it in for a Firehawk before I ordered them. lol.

Just found out that this new STi is taking a hella price jump. I still says it needs a bigger hood scoop.

 

last gen coupes would have sold ten times more, despite power, tech or whatever. i wish we had silvias ten years ago.

 

Trust me...I had a LOT of plans for that car. But was still broke from the car before (see above plate)!

 

Actually your wrong...the price didn't increase at all. i owned an '04 Sti then traded that in for an '06, i paid a little over invoice which was like $31,900...sticker was $33,600...they had some left over '05s and they were price at $33,400...so there really wasn't a price increase.
