Default Drag times i dont get.....

how could this mustang be running a 12.8 and ET be 105 mph?

while this Tiburon be running 12.8 too but with a ET of 111? shouldn't the Tiburon's time be better than 12.8 then?

If you noticed, the 0-60 foot time for the mustang was significantly shorter than the Tiburon's (1.704 sec vs. 2.112). Also, the mustang has 294 rwhp while the Tiburon had 320 hp. So, at the 60 ft point, the Mustang was ahead of the Tiburon. Even up to the 1/8th mile mark, the mustang was ahead by .248 significant seconds. Now, for both cars to have even 1/4 mile times, the Tiburon had to of caught up to the mustang at the finish line. In order for the Tiburon to catch up to the Mustang, it had to of had a higher velocity than the Mustang at the finish line. All in all, the Tiburon could of had a much shorter quarter mile time if the 0-60 foot time was less. But, the configuration of the Tiburon, being front wheel drive and turbocharged, makes it difficult to get a good start.

...that's fast for a Hyundai. But, uh, it's still a Hyundai. What's next, a Kia Rio monster truck? How about a Daewoo Lanos dirt track racer?

FWIW, I had an 87' Grand National that ran a best of 12.68 @109 mph w/ 1.91 60 ft times. The motor/trans/rear-end were all stock, just bolt-ons. My mph would've been better but the valve springs were original and should've been replaced, twice by the time my car hit its mileage of 120K!
