Cussler collection
Spent last week in Denver, my son and I toured the Clive Cussler car collection. There are about a hundred cars in a nice building with a spacious shop. The cars range from early 1900s to mid 1960s. The cars were all very expensive models when new and all beautifully restored. Packards, Lincolns, Dusenburgs, Mercedes, Buicks, you get the picture. There are people there who will take the time to talk about the cars and answer questions. If you live there and haven’t seen it or are visiting, check it out.
Correct. Any car in the collection that was written into a book had a copy of the book displayed with the car. There were quite a few. Also, they are only open May thru September. One of the guys there told me all the cars are serviced and driven during the closed months. There were brass cars, a Detroit Electric and a Stanley Steamer, I asked if those cars were included and he said “all the cars are driven”. He told me Cussler says they are cars and cars are meant to be driven.
