sweet ride... black is the best color...i had an '04 blue sti then traded it for a black '06... can i ask, how does it compare to the srt4. i hear all those boy racers gloating nonstop about how their srt's can kill any car (including STI's and Evo's)... stock for stock how does it compare to the STI? enjoy, i know you will.

Very nice BULLSEYE, now you have room for the wife and kids, but then the srt-4 offered that too. Oh well, like ANDREW said, more class in the WRX. Let me get this straight, you park the all-wheel drive for the winter, and drive your XF instead? And you live in Chicago?

What andrew said. My schooling is mostly paid by grants and scholarships. And the rest it through a gov't student loan, so won't have to pay for a few more years.

That and I work for my cars and that is it. I got a decent surplus of cash and everything else is credit. Not like I am buying these cars cash, lol. I just noticed i never got my srt-4 pictures up. I will put them up tomorrow.

Handling is a no brainer, all STi and from a dead stop, another no brainer the STi just rips when you launch it, and that was at a weak 3k. However, the short gears and awd give the SRT-4 the slight advantage on the highway. However, front the butt-ometer, I say they are quite comparable up top. Still nothing like a 4.6 DOHC, LS1 or S54.

I have seen stock srt-4's pulling STi on highway pulls and vice versa. I think they are a drivers race from a roll. SRT-4's are no slouch, I liked mine very much, just got a kick as* deal on this STi and couldn't pass it up. Heck including tax savings, I made almost 3k on my srt-4. LOL

I already ordered the $230.00 shifter kit from TIC. Then I will be getting a gauge cluster, thinks lotek's hub and was going to go with defi gauges, until all three I found out will cost me $800 bucks. So going to look for something cheaper. As my big cost purchase is going to go to Cobb Stage 2, just trying to decide if I want to go catless or catted. Either way it will be awesome. Then of course a protune. 300 whp+ here I come.

Not a big fan of the new face at all. Wanted a white one but the java black pearl is becoming my favorite and fast. That brown metal flake rocks.

I am not going to go crazy, once I hit 300 awhp I will stop. :-D

No kids and no wife, thank god. Maybe 10 years from now.

Yah, I will probably park the STi for the winter. The crossfire is a lease and I already dropped 1,500 for snow shoes and rims, so might as well use em. And yes, I'm a chi-town boy.

Just "busting *****" BULLSEYE. In a world far, far, away like 1972 when I was your age, no motor head would be caught dead in a 4 door. No matter how fast it was. A 4 doors, automatically meant "parents car" on cruise nights at the drive ins. I know it's a whole new world now. I'm just stuck in the stone age that's all. Really, you got a cool car, and I know it would blow the "doors" off my '69 muscle car. But that's OK, cause you got 2 extra you can loan me. LOL

Sorry to **** some of you guys off, but if I could've swung the EVO/STi, I'd driving that right now. Its nothing against the Crossfire, but the thought of AWD/6 spd/270-300 hp sounds VERY appealing to me!

Who's pissed? If Mitsubishi threw the "EVO" drivetrain under the new Eclipse GT, that would probably be my next "winter car" with attitude! And I'm not even that wild about the Eclipse.
We were just raggin on BULLSEYE for buying a "family car". You know, a family car that can "yank" all of our XFs. (well at least the stock ones anyway).

I fixed it for you.

BULLSEYE, you don't think a 6 speed Limited that's been "chipped", Saskin intaked, underdrive pullied, using headers with small diameter "sticky" tires that's on the "bottle" would run low 13's or better? That's what I would call a "modded" regular Crossfire.
