audi will soften it up b4 release...they are europes toyota...very bland cars...

 

Two things.

1. How can you say they're Europe's Toyota? Last time I checked, Toyotas didn't have the nicest interiors compared to all other similarly priced vehicles.

2. Why would they already be planning a freshening? The A4 JUST got redesigned.

Also, it looks more like the structure of the A6 than the A4. It could be the freshening of the A6, but I doubt it's the new A4.

 

My daughter had a '99 A-4. It was a darn nice car. Unfortunately someone T-boned it. No ne hurt but they totaled it. Very tight, well made car. A heck of a lot nicer that my wife's Volvo S70, same year.

Looks like the mercedes CLS, you know the Coupe/Sedan thing. I like Mercedes version better, especially with the AMG 55 engine in it.

 

I agree... but i bet the price of the A4 is more reasonable...

 

That's a pretty sharp ride and I wouldn't call Audi's "bland"! When you say the word "bland", I think of the last two bodied Impala's, now that's BLAND!

 

The last platform update was for the 2002 model. 2006 models received a new engine (2.0T), cosmetics, and a couple S4 suspension parts...but the platform is the same so it was really more of a MMY refresh. So, it is due for a full model change. Rumor has it that the new rear-biased torsen AWD will trickle down to the A4 fro mthe RS4. I'd love to see DSG added as well but that may not happen due to engine layout.

 

I believe it's the Audi A7 which indeed it targeted to compete with the Merc CLS so I guess 04fire win.
