BTW the picture showing the front wheel reveals a relatively clean wheel free of most brake dust. Almost 5 days and 200 miles after applying ArmorAll Wheel Protectant.

This is an alternative AMG logo. The tree is actually an apple tree which is the crest for Affalterbach where the company eventually moved and is located today. The valves, springs and cam represent the motorworks. this design is more rare than the traditional AMG letters.

 

Still on the road returning from CAA, but met up with my wife in Folsom, CA (no not visiting her in the prison LOL) and she brought the front and rear wing badges.

Not the greatest photo quality, but these badges are AWESOME!

 

Along with the history of the AMG "crest" logo, the circle with the apple tree and engine parts is also used on the AMG signed engine plates.

Nice graphics! I always wonder why most forum members want to try to show that they are driving a Benz/AMG? Is the original Chrysler brand so bad in the states?

 

In my opinion its not so much about the brand but more about a nice graphic to compliment the car. I think the Chrysler badges are fugly.

 

Aha! Okay well the AMG brand looks cool so go for it. Me personally likes the SRT6 emblems from the 2006 edition. Just bought 2 new ones...

I see your point. That would be like buying an SRT and saying you just want to make it look like a N/A.

 

There is a guy doing that. He just likes the looks of N/A better.
