saw tiis on MBworld code 3 FS
Well, my SRT may still be depreciating, but my C3 seems to be going up in value (I paid $350 for mine).
Maybe the C3 is the ticket to my kids education if I hold on to it for a couple more years. HAHA!
The seller is located in Toronto Canada.....very tempting .......but skeptical that he is reselling it just a couple days after buying it himself???
I wasn't that fast...I contacted him almost 12 hours after he listed it...LOL!
I am also a little skeptical, but he said that he realized that he shouldn't have spent the money especially since he's parking the car this weekend for the winter. So I'm hoping this isn't one of the many Code3 scams I've been seeing lately and that I finally land one of these pulleys. I've been trying to get one since this Summer.

He sent me a couple pics and it's definitely either a second or third gen Code3 pulley (pulley does not have the grooves like the 1st gen did). I'm thinking it's a second gen 65MM pulley (and the 65MM version is really what I want), but he said he would measure to confirm for me whether it was the 65MM or the 69MM later version before he took payment.
Whether or not the pics he sent are of the actual pulley he has, now that's another question altogether...LOL!
I'm thinking it's the real seller though, because when I actually first looked at the ad, it was listed for $450+shipping, but after I (and a half a dozen others according to him) contacted him, both the ad and his emails now say $475+shipping. My thinking is that a scammer wouldn't try to nickel and dime for the extra $25 dollars.

Nah - economics 101...supply vs. demand...LOL! Since these are no longer made, unless someone makes an alternative, I can see these fetching this amount or more from here on out.
And to be fair, the ad actually originally had $450 in one sentence and then $475 in the other, so it seems like he was waffling and then once he had a few people interested that made up his mind to go with the $475.

I won't consider myself a proud new owner of a Code3 pulley until it's in my hands and I verify that it is the real deal and in good working order!
Jon
i would request shipping that requires a signature and inspect the pulley before signing for it. make the delivery guy wait. if its not the real deal file a claim immediatly. if you dont then its your word against his what was sent and what was received. use a debit card as a credit card( i dont own a cc) then you ahve a way to try to get your money back if its a scam
always CYA!

And just like I said in my previous post - I won't consider myself a proud new owner of a code3 pulley until it's in my hands. Well, it looks like this one will never be in my hands. After waffling about selling it for the last 3 weeks he turned around and sold it to someone else.
I knew I should have bid on Satellite's pulley, but I figured I would keep my word and wait it out for this other one. Live and learn I guess.
