You really need to get the carbon filter, if this is not one which I believe it isn't.

 

Has anyone ordered one of these and received it? The last replacement I got was a charcoal odor reducing filter that I really liked, and I am trying to see if the $30 or so I paid for that was worth it or if I should just bite on this amazing deal....

 

I ordered 2 of them John .... I'll post as soon as they arrive ...... BTW .... are you starting to build an "ARK" by your house yet? We could all come down and help! LOL

The company that was selling them through Amazon called me this morning to let me know my order was canceled.

Tracking my shipment states that it is in transit. Expected arrival 4/28. Current price now up to $18 and change. Maybe I'm one of the lucky ones. We'll see .....
In addition, when I placed my order, there was a rebate coupon for $5.00 each, which I neglected to print off because I was operating wireless and not near my printer. NOW, the coupon is only for the Breathe Easy filter. That coupon would have brought the cost down to $1.50 each + shipping. Now that would have been a "steal". My thought was that someone goofed, and when we all started ordering, their computers went crazy, and then discovered their error. Just sayin ....

 

Called me today also and sent me a email.
Said they were sold out and to look again later.
Said the price probably won't be offered again.
Wonder if it was a pricing mistake and they canceled the orders due to that rather than an out of stock issue.
I would think that they would simply back order this item rather than canceling it.

 

Fishy, false advertising, nail them. This has to be a federal offense.
Out of stock? So there are none left in the US?
Tell them you can wait.

Well ... I guess I'm one of the few that received the filters. They appear to be substantial construction, BUT are not charcoal. I'm going to send in my proofs of purchase and the coupon printed from their website, and that may bring the price down to $1.50 each plus shipping, if they honor the coupon. Now that is a "steal".
BTW ....Country of manufacture is Germany and both boxes were dusty, which indicates that they were sitting in inventory, for awhile, and someone decided the try to reduce inventory, by running a special. The current price on their website today, is $19.40 each plus shipping.
