Like the title says i am looking to buy some non cracked license plate light lenses.

 

As of now, we cannot buy just the lenses ..... Gotta buy the whole unit ..... I carefully removed the lenses and built up the cracks with epoxy. Turns slightly yellow in time, but works OK. Be very careful when screwing them back in, because the lenses will re-crack if too tight. Just sayin .......

 

Good advice! But i was looking for a parts car that i could buy them from. If i cant find any i am looking at making a couple from plexiglass.

 

Or you could make one.

Thought I would buy some LED bulbs to replace the stock set, but figure when I take the lens off it will fall apart. I will print that drawing and keep it.

 

I am all for one offing something or making something when there is no good alternative, but I bought a set of these for my new coupe from Needswings and Rob charged me something under $40 for the pair/shipped. This is one of those times when I will just buy the mercedes part and go another 7 years w/o worrying.

If anyone wants the part number, I have the boxes at home....

 

It would be good to have that P/N, just in case. I wonder if the part is still available from Chyrsler? Seems like kind of an odd part to be replacing, they may have a bunch of them.

 

I just got a used set from darkostoj. Worked out great. They are from a parts car, but they look great still!

 

Like many other items on the car, it is not, nor ever was a Chrysler part. They may have a number for it, but those lenses have been on quite a few mercedes over the past 10-15 years and are readily available for a decent price from pretty much any dealer. I will get the box out this weekend when we are wrenching and get you the part number.
